Zusammenfassung:	To provide a substrate with a coating excellent in corrosion resistance, and having a good appearance with suppressed light reflection and no unevenness.SOLUTION: In a substrate with a coating having a surface of the substrate containing a magnesium alloy in a surface layer, or a coating containing an aluminum atom, a magnesium atom and a phosphorus atom on the surface, a content of calcium in the coating is 0.5 atom% or less, and a ratio of aluminum atomic number/(magnesium atomic number + aluminum atomic number) is in a range of 0.30 or more and 0.90 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】光反射が抑えられたムラの無い良好な外観を呈し、且つ耐食性に優れた皮膜を有する基材を提供する。【解決手段】表層にマグネシウム合金を含む基材の表面又は表面上にアルミニウム原子、マグネシウム原子及びりん原子を含む皮膜を有し、前記皮膜におけるカルシウムの含有率が０．５原子％以下であり、アルミニウム原子数／（マグネシウム原子数＋アルミニウム原子数）が０．３０以上０．９０以下の範囲内である、皮膜を有する基材。【選択図】なし
