To provide a method of manufacturing high quality Guerbet alcohol with small amount of impurities by suppressing generation of a byproduct ester.SOLUTION: [1] A method of manufacturing Guerbet alcohol by reacting a raw material alcohol having 8 or larger and 22 or smaller carbons under the presence of (A) a catalyst containing the following first component, a second component, and a third component.
