Zusammenfassung: | To provide a method for manufacturing a tire that excels in form accuracy.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a tire includes steps of: (A) detecting a tip end of a strip 14 using a sensor 12 while forwarding the strip 14 using a first conveying belt 22; (B) stopping the forwarding by the first conveying belt 22 on the basis of the detection of the tip end to position the tip end at a predetermined position; (C) forwarding the strip 14 toward a rotational body 4 using the first conveying belt 22; and (D) winding the strip 14 around the rotational body 4 to form a rubber member for a raw cover for the tire. Preferably, in the step (A), the strip 14 is forwarded in a reverse direction away from the rotational body 4 using the first conveying belt 22.
