Zusammenfassung:	To provide a customer service unit and an automated teller machine capable of preventing a malfunction of a sensor due to external light.SOLUTION: A customer service unit 4 provided with a banknote storage unit 4d for storing a banknote to be delivered includes: a deposit/withdrawal port 4b that communicates with the banknote storage unit 4d; a sensor 23 that is arranged in the banknote storage unit 4d; and a sensor cover 30 that prevents external light entering from the deposit/withdrawal port 4b from being applied to a light receiving element 23b of the sensor 23.
