To inhibit a short circuit between current collecting electrodes as a result of adhesion of foreign matter, etc. to a current collecting device, mounted on a vehicle, when power is being supplied during traveling.SOLUTION: A foreign matter removal system 300 for a current collecting device mounted on a vehicle includes: a foreign matter removal device 310 that removes foreign matter adhering to a part corresponding to creeping route between at least current collecting electrodes in an insulating part 222 provided with the current collecting electrodes 226+, 226- of the current collecting device 220 that receives power from a road surface electrode in contact with the road surface electrode laid on a road surface; and an acquisition unit 330 that acquires foreign matter removal target information indicating that the current collecting device is a foreign matter removal target.
