Zusammenfassung: | To improve power generation performance of a direct carbon fuel cell.SOLUTION: A direct carbon fuel cell has: electrolyte 3 composed of molten carbonate; a cathode 1 in contact with the electrolyte 3, oxygen and a carbon dioxide; an anode 2 in contact with the electrolyte 3; granular solid carbon 4 present in the electrolyte 3 near the anode 2; and a partition 6 which is provided between the anode 2 and the cathode 1, and lets the electrolyte 3 pass but not the solid carbon 4. In the direct carbon fuel cell, the solid carbon 4 is gripped between the anode 2 and the partition 6, and the solid carbon 4 is in press-contact with the anode 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
