Zusammenfassung: | To provide a coil component with high joint strength of the magnetic material parts constituting element assembly while suppressing displacement of a coil conductor, and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: The coil component includes an element assembly and a coil conductor placed within the element assembly. The element assembly has a generally rectangular shape, having the top and bottom surfaces facing each other and the first to fourth side planes in the direction of the coil conductor. The element assembly includes a first magnetic material part and a second magnetic material part formed in the main plane of the first magnetic material part. The coil conductor includes a winding part, and a first lead-out part and a second lead-out part each of which is pulled out to either side of the element assembly. The first magnetic material part has, in the main plane, an outer convex part provided outside the winding part and an inner convex part provided inside the winding part. The outer convex part is exposed on only one side or two adjacent sides of the element assembly.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
