Zusammenfassung:	To provide an air-laid staple fiber with improved dispersibility, and a method for producing the staple fiber.SOLUTION: An air-laid staple fiber includes a stable fiber to which a fiber-treatment agent containing a hydrophilic oil solution and a silicone-containing oil solution is bonded by 0.7-2 wt.% of the staple fiber weight, the weight ratio of the hydrophilic oil solution and the silicone-containing oil solution contained in the fiber-treatment agent (weight of hydrophilic oil solution/weight of silicone-containing oil solution) being in a range from 60/40 to 90/10, and the moisture content being 2-13%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】分散性を向上したエアレイド用短繊維及びその製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】エアレイド用短繊維は、親水油剤及びシリコン含有油剤を含む繊維処理剤が短繊維重量の０．７〜２重量％付着した短繊維を含み、前記繊維処理剤に含まれる前記親水油剤及び前記シリコン含有油剤の重量比（親水油剤の重量／シリコン含有油剤の重量）が６０／４０〜９０／１０の範囲内であり、水分率が２〜１３％であることを特徴とする。【選択図】図１
