PUNCH DIE WITH EAR PART AND OPERATION METHOD THEREOF

To stably perform monitoring operation by an optical type safety device while suppressing large-size and complicated configuration of a punch die with ear part.SOLUTION: A punch die 14 with ear part comprises: a stationery punch 26; a movable punch 36 which is provided on the stationery punch 26 so as to be capable of elevating in a direction along a ramp 16g, and has an ear part 36e; and an interlocking component 50 interlocking with elevational operation of the movable punch 36 relative to the stationery punch 26. The punch die 14 with ear part comprises: an operation component 60 which is provided on the stationery punch 26 so as to be movable in a width direction, and moves in the width direction by movement operation of an external operation component 30, and has a contact element 62 which can come into contact with the interlocking component 50; and an energization component 66 which energizes the operation component 60 to a width direction inner side so that the contact element 62 comes into contact with the interlocking component 50.
