To provide a binder aqueous solution for a lithium ion battery, a slurry for a lithium ion battery negative electrode, a negative electrode for a lithium ion battery and a lithium ion battery.SOLUTION: A binder aqueous solution for a lithium ion battery is provided according to a disclosure hereof, which comprises a water-soluble poly(meth)acrylamide (A) consisting of a polymer of a group of monomers including 30-95 mol% of a (meth)acrylamide group-containing compound (a) and 5-40 mol% of an alkoxy alkyl (meth)acrylate (b) represented by the general formula (1) below to 100 mol% of the group of monomers.
