【課題】表示対象の相違に応じて、配列や解像度の異なる互いに別々の画素を有する表示方式を選択し、消費電力の低減を図った使用形態に好適な表示装置を提案する。【解決手段】表示の観察側から、光変調素子が外光を反射させて表示を行なう非発光表示素子からなる第1表示パネル10(反射型または半透過型の液晶表示装置が好適)、透光性を持つ不透明な光拡散層30、発光素子が直接変調し表示を行なう発光表示素子からなる第2表示パネル20(有機ELディスプレイが好適)、が重畳されてなる構成。【選択図】図1 |
