To provide a reflection type mask suitable for improving a throughput of an exposure apparatus.SOLUTION: According to one embodiment, a reflection type mask having a multilayer reflection layer and an absorber film is provided. The multilayer reflection layer has a patterned surface. The patterned surface includes a first region, a second region, and a third region. The first region has a plurality of first patterns. The second region is arranged in the periphery of the first region. The third region is included in the second region. The multilayer reflection layer comprises first layers and second layers alternately stacked. The absorber film covers the second region. The absorber film has the second pattern.
