Zusammenfassung:To provide a modification fuel control method and modification fuel controller which equalize the distribution of fuel for modification injected into recirculating exhaust gas passing through a fuel modification catalyst.SOLUTION: A flow rate of recirculating exhaust gas is detected. According to the flow rate of the recirculating exhaust gas, a region of a fuel modification catalyst 16 through which the recirculating exhaust gas and fuel for modification pass is changed. When the flow rate of the recirculating exhaust gas is smaller than a predetermined value, the change of the region is set small.
