EMERGENCY FLOOD OPERATION METHOD OF ELEVATOR

To provide an elevator that can sense even a small amount of water and perform an emergency operation when flooded.SOLUTION: An elevator 10 comprises a shaft 20 connecting between landing halls 21, a car 30 running on the shaft, a car control unit 41 controlling the car, and an elevator control unit 40 controlling the travel of the car. The car is equipped with flood detecting means 50 which is placed on the top surface of the top plate 32 to detect flood on the top plate and transmit the presence of flood to the car control unit.
