To provide a planar suction gripper of which usability for an article sensitive to electrostatic discharge is improved.SOLUTION: A planar suction gripper (10) comprises a base member (12) having a handling side (14) for an article to be adsorbed, the handling side (14) has a plurality of suction parts (24), and comprises an elastically deformable covering material (22), and a cover sheet layer (28) which is arranged on a side of the elastic covering material (22) apart from the base member (12).
