Zusammenfassung:To provide a vehicle body rear part structure which makes a load, caused by a rear part collision and contact with the ground, less likely to act on a sensor for detecting peripheral information of the vehicle rear to make change of an attachment position and an attachment angle of the sensor relative to a vehicle body difficult.SOLUTION: A vehicle body rear part structure includes: a rear panel 28 forming a rear part of a vehicle body; a bumper beam 20 attached to a structure member of the rear part of the vehicle body; a sensor holding member attached to the rear panel; and a sensor 52 which is attached to the sensor holding member and detects peripheral information of the vehicle rear. An entire part of the sensor is disposed at the front side relative to a rear end part of the bumper beam, below a lower end part of the bumper beam, and above a departure angle surface D.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】後部衝突や接地による荷重が車両後方の周辺情報を検出するセンサに作用し難く、車体に対するセンサの取付位置や取付角度が変化し難いようにすること。【解決手段】車体の後部を構成するリヤパネル28と、車体の後部の構造部材に取り付けられたバンパビーム20と、前記リヤパネルに取り付けられたセンサ保持部材と、前記センサ保持部材に取り付けられた車両後方の周辺情報を検出するセンサ52とを有し、前記センサは、その全体が前記バンパビームの後端部よりも前方且つ前記バンパビームの下端部よりも下方に、且つデパーチャーアングル面Dよりも上方に配置されている。【選択図】図4
