Zusammenfassung:	To provide an enhancer that continuously enhances basal metabolism and a composition for enhancing basal metabolism comprising the enhancer.SOLUTION: Provided is basal metabolism enhancer comprising lactic acid bacterium cells or a treated product thereof exhibiting an action of increasing TLR2 (Toll-like receptor 2) activity by 2 times or more in the presence of the lactic acid bacteria as compared with the absence of the lactic acid bacteria. Also provided is a composition for enhancing basal metabolism comprising the enhancer.
