Zusammenfassung:	To provide a water purifier which effectively sterilizes a liquid flowing in a water passage, and to provide a washing machine which effectively purifies washing water.SOLUTION: A water purifier 20 purifies a liquid flowing in a water passage 19, and a washing machine includes the water purifier 20. The water purifier includes: a centrifugal separation part 21 for centrifugally separating a foreign substance contained in the liquid; and an ultraviolet ray irradiation part 22 for irradiating the liquid from which the foreign substance has been separated in the centrifugal separation part 21 with ultraviolet rays.
