STRAINER AND COARSE PARTICLE REMOVAL APPARATUS

To provide a strainer that removes coarse particles from slurry containing the coarse particles high in solid constituent load, and provide a coarse particle removal apparatus.SOLUTION: A strainer 100 is provided for removing coarse particles from slurry. The strainer includes: a bypass pipe 20 arranging piping 21 diverging from a straight tube 10 diagonally downward, and arranging the piping descending in parallel to the straight tube 10 and diagonally merging to the straight tube 10; and an air-released removal pipe 30 descended and arranged after arranging the piping branching aside further from an upper bending part 22 of the bypass pipe 20.
