To provide a production method of a heart failure nonhuman primate model animal using a primate that is an animal closer to a human; and to provide an evaluation method of a material having activity of treatment or prevention of a heart failure using the heart failure nonhuman primate model animal.SOLUTION: A production method of a heart failure nonhuman primate model animal includes a step for administering an anthracycline anti-tumor agent to a nonhuman primate, while increasing stepwise so that a total dose agrees with 400-1,000 mg/m2 body surface area.
