Zusammenfassung:	To provide novel fibers or novel fiber compositions that enable the production of nonwoven fabrics that exhibit good application characteristics for filter applications, in particular, the provision of optimized fibers with both greater surface area and greater fiber diameter to provide fibers for high filtration performance.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a medium solid polymer fiber having a 6 to 10 finger cross-section and exhibiting at least one of the following properties: the fingers are asymmetrically arranged about their respective central axes; the cross-section of the fiber does not have an axis of rotation.
