OBJECT MOVING DEVICE

To provide an object moving device that can efficiently and smoothly move a holding target that is held by a carrier plate.SOLUTION: The object moving device comprises: a guide rail for which a raised section is raised on the base section along the extending direction of the base section that extends in a predetermined direction; and a carrier plate including a body section that holds a holding target and a slit that houses the raised section. The carrier plate is attached to the guide rail so as to move on the guide rail along the extending direction of the guide rail. The raised section has a first surface and a second surface that extend in the extending direction of the raised section. The slit is formed of a first edge positioned on the first surface side of the raised section and a second edge positioned on the second surface side. A cutout including an opening that faces toward the raised section is provided on at least one of the first edge and the second edge. The cutout has a space that can store grease.
