INDUCTION HEATER

To provide an induction heater capable of more uniformly heating wide area of a workpiece.SOLUTION: An induction heater 10 comprises: a first core 16; a second core 18; magnetic poles 20a, 24a, ends of the first core 16 and the second core 18, facing each other via a gap region 28a in which a workpiece 12 is disposed; coils 22a, 26a wound around the magnetic poles 20a, 24a, respectively; and magnetic material auxiliary plates 32a, 34a provided at ends of the magnetic poles 20a, 24a, respectively. The gap region 28a is a region interposed between the pair of magnetic poles 20a, 24a. Portions of the auxiliary plates 32a, 34a protrude from the gap region 28a. The auxiliary plates 32a, 34a have area larger than that of end surfaces of the magnetic poles 20a, 24a. Between the ends of the magnetic poles 20a, 24a and the auxiliary plates 32a, 34a, non-permeable gaps 38a, 40a are provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】ワークに対して広い面積をより均一に加熱することのできる誘導加熱装置を提供する。【解決手段】誘導加熱装置１０は、第１コア１６と、第２コア１８と、第１コア１６および第２コア１８の端部であってワーク１２が配置されるギャップ領域２８ａを介して対向する磁極２０ａ，２４ａと、磁極２０ａ，２４ａのまわりにそれぞれ巻回されたコイル２２ａ，２６ａと、磁極２０ａ，２４ａの端部にそれぞれ設けられた磁性体の補助板３２ａ，３４ａとを備える。ギャップ領域２８ａは一対の磁極２０ａ，２４ａによって挟まれた領域である。補助板３２ａ，３４ａの一部はギャップ領域２８ａから突出している。補助板３２ａ，３４ａは、磁極２０ａ，２４ａの端面よりも面積が大きい。磁極２０ａ，２４ａの端部と補助板３２ａ，３４ａとの間には非透磁性の隙間３８ａ，４０ａが設けられている。【選択図】図１
