WIRELESS COMMUNICATION WATER METER AND WIRELESS COMMUNICATION UNIT

To provide a water meter to which is added a wireless communication function in such a way as to suppress a dimensional increase.SOLUTION: An electronic measurement unit 4 of a water meter 1 includes an upward protrusion 40 that protrudes upward from a meter case 2. A wireless communication unit 8 is removably attached to the meter case 2 so that the upward protrusion 40 is inserted from lower side into an annular part center hole 82. The wireless communication unit 8 is arranged within a protruding dimension from the meter case 2 of the upward protrusion 40 and the front-back length dimension of the mete case. Dimensional increases in the vertical and front-back directions of the water meter 1 having had the wireless communication unit 8 attached thereto can be avoided. The wireless communication unit 8, by being removed from the meter case 2, does not obstruct the installation work, etc. of the water meter 1.
