DRIVE ASSISTING DEVICE

To enable a driver to easily perform accelerating operation with a finger of driver's hand gripping a steering grip portion.SOLUTION: An operation member 2 having an operating portion 20 disposed such that acceleration/deceleration of a vehicle can be manually operable by a driver D is provided near a steering grip portion 6 that is gripped by the driver D seated on a driver seat 8 and that is rotated around a rotation axis in forward and backward directions of a vehicle, thereby steering the vehicle. A support member 3 supporting the operation member 2 so as to be allowed to slide and displace along a steering axial direction X is provided in a steering wheel 6.
