Zusammenfassung: | To provide a method of safely retrieving a mobile platform from a tank containing a hazardous non-conductive substance.SOLUTION: A mobile platform includes an enclosure, a control unit, a propulsion system, a power supply, and a retrieval system. A buoyant body (702) of the retrieval system is released to carry a tether (1100) toward a surface (1116) of a non-conductive liquid energetic substance (12). A conductive cable (1304) is carried to a conductive member of the mobile platform, using the tether. A voltage neutralizing end (1306) of the conductive cable is electrically connected to a voltage differential neutralizing body (1302) under a spark inhibition ambient condition. While the conductive member (1300) is below the surface of the non-conductive liquid energetic substance, a mobile platform end (1308) of the conductive cable is electrically connected to the conductive member of the mobile platform, and then the mobile platform is retrieved from the inside to the outside of a tank.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 22
