Zusammenfassung:To prevent uneven heating in a longitudinal direction, and at the same time ensure sufficient allowance for heater crack.SOLUTION: A heater is used for an image heating device and comprises: a substrate; a first heat element and a second heat element that are provided on the substrate along the longitudinal direction of the substrate and parallel to each other, and generate heat with power supplied from a power supply; first to third electric contact units for electrically connecting to the power supply; a first conductive unit that electrically connects the first electric contact unit to one end in a short direction being a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the first heat element; a second conductive unit that electrically connects the second electric contact unit to one end in the short direction of the second heat element; and a third conductive unit that electrically connects the third electric contact unit to the other end in the short direction of the first heat element and the third electric contact unit to the other end in the short direction of the second heat element.
