Zusammenfassung:To provide a manufacturing method of hollow glass capable of avoiding a cost increase and achieving improved tightness, and hollow glass.SOLUTION: Sheet glasses 11, 12 made of the same raw material are laminated so as to form a hollow part H between the sheet glasses 11, 12 and heated to the softening point or lower and a temperature at which the raw material can be diffusion bonded at a specified pressure or higher. A gas is charged into the hollow part H to apply gas pressure while or immediately after the heated sheet glasses 11, 12 in a laminated state are pressed to a specified pressure by a molding die D. The laminated sheet glass 11, 12 of which the hollow part H receives the gas pressure are cooled to the strain point while held by the molding die D.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】高コスト化を抑えると共に、密閉性の改善を図ることができる中空ガラスの製造方法及び中空ガラスを提供する。【解決手段】同一の素材の板ガラス11,12間に中空部Hが形成されるように板ガラス11,12同士を積層し、積層状態の板ガラス11,12を、その軟化点以下且つ所定圧以上で当該素材を拡散接合可能な温度まで加熱し、加熱した積層状態の板ガラス11,12を成形金型Dで所定圧以上に押圧すると共に中空部Hにガスを送り込んでガス圧力を印加し、又は、成形金型Dで所定圧以上に押圧するのに続けて中空部Hにガスを送り込んでガス圧力を印加する。次いで、中空部Hにガス圧力を印加されている積層状態の板ガラス11,12を成形金型Dで保持した状態で歪点まで冷却させる。【選択図】図2
