Zusammenfassung:To provide a rotary joint which can inhibit increase in entire axial length even if the number of ports is increased and inhibit occurrence of variations in processing accuracy of the ports.SOLUTION: Each mechanical seal device 7 of a rotary joint 1 has: a first shaft side seal ring 71 and a second shaft side seal ring 72 which are attached to a shaft body 5; and a first case side seal ring 73 and a second case side seal ring 74 which are attached to a case body 2. The first shaft side seal ring 71 and the second shaft side seal ring 72 have contact surfaces 71b, 72b which face and come into contact with each other in an axial direction. The contact surfaces 71b, 72b are formed with grooves 421c, 421d for forming a second communication passage 42 which connects a second outer passage 32 with a second inner passage 62.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】ポート数が増加しても軸方向の全長が長くなるのを抑制することができ、かつポートの加工精度にばらつきが生じるのを抑制することができるロータリジョイントを提供する。【解決手段】ロータリジョイント1の各メカニカルシール装置7は、軸体5に取り付けられた第一軸側密封環71及び第二軸側密封環72と、ケース体2に取り付けられた第一ケース側密封環73及び第二ケース側密封環74とを有する。第一軸側密封環71と第二軸側密封環72は、互いに軸方向に対向して接触する接触面71b,72bを有し、両接触面71b,72bには、第二外側流路32と第二内側流路62とを繋ぐ第二連通流路42を構成するための溝421c,421dが形成されている。【選択図】図2
