To provide a water closet capable of taking air in a washing water tank into washing water passing through a throat pipe and reducing the amount of the washing water to be supplied from the washing water tank into a toilet bowl body with washing operation of the toilet bowl body while inhibiting the washing water from flowing back out of an air intake pipe mounted to a downstream side supply passage when a pump device supplies the washing water to the toilet bowl body.SOLUTION: A water closet includes a toilet bowl body 2 having a drain trap pipeline 14 extending from the bottom of a bowl part, a washing water tank 20 for storing washing water, a pump device 22 for supplying the washing water from the washing water tank to the toilet bowl body, a throat pipe 45 extending from the internal of the washing water tank to the pump device, a downstream side supply passage 46 extending from the pump device to the toilet bowl body, and an air intake pipe 60 arranged in the washing water tank and connected to the throat pipe 45 for taking air in the washing water tank into the throat pipe.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】ポンプ装置が洗浄水を便器本体に供給する際に、洗浄水が下流側供給経路に取付けられた空気取込管から逆流し流出することを抑制すると共に、スロート管を通過する洗浄水に洗浄水タンク内の空気を取込むことができ、便器本体の洗浄動作において洗浄水タンクから便器本体に供給される洗浄水量を減らすことができる水洗大便器を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の水洗大便器は、ボウル部の底部から延びる排水トラップ管路１４を有する便器本体２と、洗浄水を貯水する洗浄水タンク２０と、洗浄水タンクの洗浄水を便器本体に供給するポンプ装置２２と、洗浄水タンク内からポンプ装置まで延びるスロート管４５と、ポンプ装置から便器本体まで延びる下流側供給経路４６と、洗浄水タンク内に配置されると共にスロート管４５と接続され、洗浄水タンク内の空気をスロート管に取込む空気取込管６０とを備える。【選択図】図２
