To provide a method for preventing loss of a setting for a currently running application when a mobile terminal works with an MFP.SOLUTION: A control program executed by a CPU when an MFP receives setting information indicating a transmission setting from a mobile terminal launches a first application when the application being run when the MFP receives a setting to be used in the first application from another transmission from another device is not the first application but a second application that allows the setting.
