Zusammenfassung:	To provide: epoxy resins that display enhanced distortional behavior; and composite materials which are produced by combining the epoxy resins with fibers and absorb mechanical energy and dissipate this energy as heat, forestalling potential dilatational fractures and allowing increased loads to be carried by the fibers.SOLUTION: A curable epoxy resin preparation comprises an epoxy compound of a specific structure having three benzene units linked by bridging groups, and a diamine compound of a specific structure having three benzene units linked by bridging groups as a curing agent.
