Zusammenfassung: | To provide an electric steering column having a novel improved configuration such that the size is reduced or the number of components is reduced.SOLUTION: An electric steering column 10 includes a main housing 11, a steering shaft 13, a first electric motor 110 fixed to the main housing 11, a circuit board 151 which is supported by the main housing 11, faces the first electric motor 110 and is mounted with a first control part for controlling operation of the first electric motor 110, a first rotary member 161 which is rotated in response to rotation of a first shaft of the first electric motor 110 and a first direct-acting member 162 which is directly acted in response to rotation of the first rotary member 161, a first variable mechanism 20 which changes one of an attitude to a vehicle body of the electric steering column 10 in response to direct acting of the first direct-acting member 162 and a shape of the electric steering column 10, and a first sensor which is mounted on the circuit board 151 and detects rotation of the first shaft.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
