To provide a transport subsidiary body relay device for use in a paper sheet collection and transport system, having excellent installability, the paper sheet collection and transport system generating an air flow in a transport pipe, pushingly moving paper sheets inserted into the transport pipe from the rear side by a transport subsidiary body receiving the air flow and moving the transport pipe, to transport the paper sheets.SOLUTION: A paper sheet collection and transport system comprises a transport subsidiary body relay device including: a holding part provided at a middle of a transport pipe provided between a bank bill insertion position and a transport subsidiary body insertion device, receiving the transport subsidiary body arrived from an upstream-side transport pipe, and temporarily holding it; and a move part for moving the transport subsidiary body held by the holding part toward a downstream-side transport pipe; and delivering the moved transport subsidiary body to the inside of the downstream-side transport pipe.
