To provide a display control device, a display control method, and a program, capable of performing an authentication process quickly regardless of a type of source device.SOLUTION: A display control device 10 has a control unit (CPU14) for displaying on a display unit by processing an input signal input from a digital video signal terminal (HDMI terminal 11a, HDMI receiver 11).
