Zusammenfassung: | To provide a manufacturing method capable of producing, with high productivity, a carbon fiber bundle manufactured by connecting an upstream precursor fiber bundle and a downstream precursor fiber bundle via a connecting fiber bundle.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for manufacturing a flameproof fiber bundle, the method for manufacturing a flameproof fiber bundle comprises: a step of joining an upstream precursor fiber bundle A1 and a downstream precursor fiber bundle via a joining fiber bundle B; and a step of flameproofing the joined precursor fiber bundle by feeding the joined precursor fiber bundles through a flameproofing furnace, in which in the joining step, an oil solution is applied to a joint area of a joining target precursor fiber bundle so as to control a quantity of the oil solution adhering to the joint area in the joining target precursor fiber bundle into 0.15 to 0.85 wt% before joining the joining target precursor fiber bundle and the joining fiber bundle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
