Zusammenfassung:	To assure encapsulation performance between a nozzle plate and a cover member of a liquid discharge head.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge head comprises: a nozzle plate 1 having plural nozzles 3 for discharging a liquid, and a continuous recess 4, which surrounds an area in which the plural nozzles 3 are located, on a liquid discharge side face; and a cover member 8 which is joined to the nozzle plate 1 so as to expose the area in which the plural nozzles 3 are located.
