To provide an electrochemical reactor which is enhanced in a purification rate of an exhaust gas.SOLUTION: An electrochemical reactor 45 comprises a plurality of plate-shaped members 63, and a plurality of passages 64 defined by the plurality of plate-shaped members, respectively. The plate-shaped members comprise cells having ion-conductive solid electrolyte layers, anode layers formed on surfaces of the solid electrolyte layers, and cathode layers formed on surfaces opposite to the surfaces on which the anode layers of the solid electrolyte layer are formed.
