To provide an underwater sailing body capable of improving a silence property.SOLUTION: An underwater sailing body 1 comprises a pressure resistant structure 10 forming a hollow, internal space S in water, a cylindrical storage structure 11 of a projectable/retractable body installed on an outer peripheral surface 10f of the pressure resistant structure 10 and extending outward from the outer peripheral surface 10f, a projectable/retractable body 21 housed in the storage structure 11 of the projectable/retractable body and being projectable/retractable outward from the storage structure 11 of the projectable/retractable body, and a lifting mechanism 23A of the projectable/retractable body to make the projectable/retractable body 21 project/retract outward from inside the storage structure 11 of the projectable/retractable body.
