To provide an illumination system including multiple terminal devices that perform wireless communication with at least one of multiple lighting apparatuses constituting a wireless mesh network capable of improving the convenience of the multiple terminal devices.SOLUTION: An illumination system 10 includes: multiple lighting apparatuses 12, 14 constituting a wireless mesh network M; and a first terminal device 30 and a second terminal device 40 each performing wireless communication with at least one lighting apparatus of the multiple lighting apparatuses. The first terminal device transmits an operation signal corresponding to an operation, and when the lighting apparatus to be operated receives the operation signal, the lighting apparatus transmits a reception confirmation signal that includes the lighting state after the operation to each of the first terminal device and the second terminal device.
