Zusammenfassung: | To allow a printing result in which a plurality of colors are superimposed to be predicted accurately in a simulation of a printed image.SOLUTION: A printing result prediction method, which predicts a printing result in a recording device that prints an image on a recording medium by forming a plurality of ink dots on the medium, includes a spectra reflectivity distribution predicting step S4 of predicting a spectra reflectivity distribution on the recording medium, on the basis of a pigment film thickness distribution predicted in a film thickness distribution predicting step S3, a unit spectra transmission per unit thickness of ink and reflection characteristics of light in the recording medium. In the spectra reflectivity distribution predicting step, the spectra reflectivity distribution is predicted in consideration of order in which colors of ink are superimposed, by dividing incident light into reflected light and transmitted light, using surface reflectivity and absorption coefficient of pigment.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】印刷画像のシミュレーションにおいて、複数の色を重ね合せた印刷結果を精度良く予測可能とする。【解決手段】記録媒体上に複数のインクドットを形成することにより画像を印刷する記録装置における印刷結果を予測する印刷結果予測方法であって、膜厚分布予測ステップS3にて予測された顔料膜厚分布と、インクの単位厚みあたりの単位分光透過率と、記録媒体における光の反射特性とに基づいて、記録媒体上における分光反射率分布を予測する分光反射率分布予測ステップS4を含む。分光反射率分布予測ステップでは、顔料の表面反射率および吸収係数を用いて、入射光を反射光と透過光に分割することで、インクの色の重ね順を考慮して分光反射率分布を予測する。【選択図】図2 |
