Zusammenfassung:To improve the positional accuracy of a fold of a sheet folding device forming the fold on a sheet.SOLUTION: A sheet folding device C includes: a conveyance roller pair 33 which is arranged on the upstream side of a center conveyance path 42; a folding roller pair 34 which is arranged on the downstream side of the center conveyance path; a folding loop formation space 50 which is formed on the lower side of the center conveyance path; and a thrusting member 35 which is abutted with a prescribed position of the sheet suspended into the folding loop formation space from the center conveyance path and moves from the upstream side toward the folding roller pair. The folding roller pair 34 nips a prescribed position of the sheet fed from the thrusting member 35 by a nip part 39 to form a fold. Fold position adjustment means 120a controls the inversion of the folding roller pair 34 so that a fold formation reference part that is preset at a top portion of the sheet is located at the nip part 39 when the top portion of the sheet passes through the nip part 39 with the feeding operation by the normal rotation of the folding roller pair 34 before the movement of the thrusting member 35.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9 【課題】シートに折り目を形成するシート折り装置の折り目の位置精度を向上させる。【解決手段】シート折り装置Cは、中央搬送路42の上流側に配置された搬送ローラー対33と下流側に配置された折りローラー対34と、中央搬送路の下方に形成された折りループ形成空間50と、中央搬送路から折りループ形成空間内に垂れ下がったシートの所定位置を突き当てて、折りローラー対に向けて上流側から移動する突き部材35とを備え、折りローラー対34は、突き部材35により送られたシートの所定位置をニップ部39でニップして折り目を形成する。折り目位置調整手段120aは、突き部材35が移動する前に、シートが折りローラー対34の正転による送り動作でシートの先頭部分がニップ部39を通過したとき、先頭部分に予め設定してある折り目形成基準部がニップ部39に位置するように折りローラー対34の逆転を制御する。【選択図】図9
