Zusammenfassung:To provide a medium conveying device capable of preferably conveying a thicker medium.SOLUTION: A medium conveying device 100 comprises: first rollers 113; second rollers 114 that are arranged to oppose the first rollers, and nip and convey a medium with the first rollers; a drive force generation part 141 for rotating drive shafts; and joint parts 123, 125 for tiltably connecting a rotation shaft 122 of the second rollers with the drive shafts 124, 126. Each of the drive shafts is arranged at an intermediate position between a position where the second rollers are in contact with the first rollers, and a position where the second rollers are farthest away from the first rollers in a vertical direction.
