Zusammenfassung:	To provide a technique capable of finding, in an early stage, trouble such that a liquid discharge device has an atmosphere communication hole blocked and suppressing a liquid discharge head from being defective in discharging.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge head which has a nozzle for discharging a liquid on a nozzle formation surface comprises: a cap member mounted to abut on a position where the nozzle on the nozzle formation surface is encircled, the cap member having an atmosphere communication hole to link the inside of the cap member to the atmosphere; and a blocking determination mechanism which determines whether at least a part of the atmosphere communication hole is in a blocked state or not.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 【課題】液体吐出装置において、大気連通孔が閉塞される不具合を早期に発見し、液体吐出ヘッドの吐出不良の発生を抑制することができる技術を提供する。【解決手段】液体を吐出するノズルをノズル形成面に有する液体吐出ヘッドは、ノズル形成面のノズルを取り囲む位置に当接して、ノズルを覆うように装着されるキャップ部材であってキャップ部材の内側を外気に連通する大気連通孔が形成されたキャップ部材と、大気連通孔の少なくとも一部が閉塞状態か否かを判定する詰り判定機構とを備える。【選択図】図５
