To provide a display device, discrimination method and irradiation method that properly discriminate an irradiated surface, as ensuring safety with respect to users, and can display information.SOLUTION: A display device 1 is configured to irradiate an irradiated surface having a first area emitting reflection light by reception of a visible light laser and a second area emitting fluorescent light of a prescribed wavelength by reception of the visible light laser with image light.
