Zusammenfassung:To provide a highly precise rotation sensor using a piezoelectric element, and a method for detecting the angle of rotation using the sensor.SOLUTION: A rotation sensor 1 includes: a rotational body 3; and a flexible cantilever arm part 4 in a continuous contact with the outer periphery 33 of the rotational body 3 with a rotating free end. The rotational body 3 is formed so that the distance from the center of rotation to the outer periphery 33 continuously changes in a circumferential direction.
