The method comprises: (a) a step of discharging a coat forming composition having a composition different from that of the base material in a TD direction from a nozzle so as to coat a portion of the base material being transported in an MD direction; (b) a step of measuring a weight of the resulting pet food after the step (a); and (c) a step of controlling a flow rate of the coat forming composition discharged in the TD direction by the nozzle, on the basis of a weight of the pet food measured in the step (b).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
