OVERLAPPING IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE AND COMPUTER PROGRAM

To provide an overlapping image display device and a computer program which allow us to know the precise positional relation between a guide image and a target object and which enables a more appropriate guide using a guide image.SOLUTION: The present invention is formed to arrange a virtual body simulating a target object around a vehicle with a guide image in a three-dimensional space, acquire the respective shapes of the guide image and the virtual body in a case where the guide image and the virtual body are visually confirmed from the position of the vehicle in a three-dimensional space, and display the guide image with the acquired shape and the target object image showing the shape of the acquired virtual body in a front display 4 or in a liquid crystal display 17, so as to make the guide image be visually recognized as the guide image overlapping with the scene before the vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 【課題】案内画像と対象物との位置関係を正確に認識させることが可能となり、案内画像を用いた案内をより適切に行うことを可能にした重畳画像表示装置及びコンピュータプログラムを提供する。【解決手段】案内画像を車両前方の風景に重畳して視認させる場合に、３次元空間内に案内画像とともに車両の周辺に存在する対象物を模した仮想体を配置し、３次元空間内における車両の位置から案内画像及び仮想体を視認した場合の案内画像と仮想体の形状を夫々取得し、取得された形状の案内画像とともに、取得された仮想体の形状を示す対象物画像をフロントディスプレイ４や液晶ディスプレイ１７に表示するように構成する。【選択図】図８
