Zusammenfassung:To provide a suitable mounting structure of a chain tensioner excellent in followability to chain slack, and having less outflow of oil.SOLUTION: In a mounting structure of a chain tensioner that attaches a chain tensioner 1 to an engine wall E, a cylinder 9 of the chain tensioner 1 has an oil supply passage part 31 that introduces oil supplied from the outside, a discharge part 42 that is provided below the oil supply passage part 31 and communicates with the oil supply passage part 31 via a return passage 50, and an orifice part 41 that allows the oil having flowed in from the pressure chamber 18 to flow out to an outlet part 42a of the return passage 50 of the discharge part 42; the return passage 50 is provided between the cylinder 9 and the engine wall surface E; and oil having flowed out from the orifice part 41 returns from the outlet portion 42a to the oil supply passage part 31 through the return passage 50.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】チェーンの弛みに対する追従性に優れ、かつ、オイルの流出量が少ない好適なチェーンテンショナの取付構造を提供する。【解決手段】エンジン壁面Eにチェーンテンショナ1を取り付けるチェーンテンショナの取付構造において、チェーンテンショナ1のシリンダ9は、外部から供給されるオイルを導入する給油通路部31と、給油通路部31よりも下方に設けられて戻り通路50を介して給油通路部31と連通する排出部42と、圧力室18から流入したオイルを排出部42の戻り通路50への出口部42aへと流出するオリフィス部41とを有し、戻り通路50は、シリンダ9とエンジン壁面Eとの間に設けられていて、オリフィス部41から流出したオイルが出口部42aから戻り通路50を経て給油通路部31へと戻る。【選択図】図4
