To provide a carton capable of preventing food inside the carton from jumping out when opened.SOLUTION: A carton 1 for food comprises: a cylindrical trunk part 2; a bottom face part 3 which closes one end part in an axial direction of the trunk part 2; and an opening face part 7 which closes the other end part in the axial direction of the trunk part 2, and is opened in an opening direction from one side to the other side orthogonal to the axial direction of the trunk part 2 to form an opening 8A at the other end part in the axial direction of the trunk part 2. The trunk part 2 comprises: a first side face part 22 which connects with the opening face part 7 on the other side in the opening direction; and second side face parts 23, 24 which connect with the first side face part 22 in a circumferential direction of the trunk part 2.
